Italy x Reader- HetaOni part 7

The tunnel was dark and wet. The walls were cold damp stone and the floor was made of the same material. You held Italy's hand as you descended into the stony hall. Your foot made purchase with the ground and you walked forward.

You let out a breath but caught it when your foot slipped. You fell backwards toward the jagged rocks of the ground and closed your eyes. The impact of the ground never met your skull, you looked up into Italy's eyes. He had caught you and was holding you midair.

"Careful bella."
"Sorry Italy. It would be a shame to die from clumsiness when that monster wants to do the deed himself." You smiled at him and he gave you a small relived smile in return. Germany was Japan were ahead of you but had stopped when you yelped.

Now that you were safely back on your feet they began to move forward again. Prussia let out a long sigh and gave a rye smile.
"Ve can finally escape at long last"
"Yeah. I just wish the others had-a come too."
"You're too slow i'll just go ahead."

With that Germany rounded the corner and began to walk toward the rope latter at the base of a deep hole. Japan suddenly looked really worried.
"Oh Germa-" he tired to shout out to the German to stop.

You looked to him curiously, how did he know Germany was in danger? Did he know the monster was coming? Italy could be right, maybe Japan was getting memories back. Japan was looking around as if for an escape.

He knew. You heard a yell from down the hallway, where Germany had gone. You looked to Italy and ran to see Germany. Prussia soon followed, being snark as always.
"Vhat happened? Did you fall over kesesesese~" Japan followed behind Prussia and soon you were all at the end of the hallway.

In front of the rope latter was the thing. It stood tall and looked at your small group with those soulless black eyes. It made no noise nor any movements, it just stood there and stared.

"There it is..." Japan didn't look surprised in the slightest but Germany was shaking.
"J-Japan! Run quickly!" Italy looked to you with sad eyes.
"Let's go quickly! I'm-a worried about the others!"
"Kesesese~ I see now. This is vhat he meant." You weren't sure what Prussia was talking about but you brushed it off.

"Come on! Just run!"
"All together! That's it if we run we can still make it-a"
"Y-yes."  

All of you began to run back to the basement door. Italy and Prussia were in the lead with Japan not far behind. You were behind them and Germany behind you. You heard a clatter behind you and a few German swear words. You turned around to see Germany on the floor.

He seemed to be pulling his foot but having no luck. Japan yelled to the others and Prussia came running to Germany's side. He was yelling to Japan about some answer and Japan looked confused and scared. Prussia jumped towards the monster and slashed at it.

This only made the thing move back a few paces. Italy ran to help his fallen friend and you jumped to help Prussia with the creature. Japan was still standing back, holding his head, but Germany was finally back on his feet. Coming to his senses Japan rushed to your side.

"This is my answer! The enemy is stronger, but so are we. If we arr join forces we can defeat it!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about but that sounds like a good idea."
"Kesesese Vell done!"
"You idiots! Vhy did you come back?"
"You vant to know vhy i came back? Because i can't zhink of a reason vhy i vouldn't help mine little brother."

Prussia let out that obnoxious laugh again and ran to the monster, the rest of you followed.

*Time skip*

The beast had finally been moved back. You were all to tired to keep fighting and decided to just run for it. On the count of three you all ran back through the door and back to where Russia was waiting.

You quickly caught him up to speed and ran to find the others. Every time you encountered another person you told them the exit rope had been burnt and that you needed to run. After collecting everyone you headed to a small room with only two doors.

Everyone was panting and discussing the situation at hand. Yes the monster was after you, but you were all still alive. This hadn't happened before, someone had always died by now. Normally this would have given you a breath of fresh air, but you knew what was coming next.

You couldn't even pay attention to the conversation, you were to busy watching the door right behind Italy. You walked up next to him and stood by his side. He looked at you and nearly began to cry. He shook his head violently but you just intertwined your fingers with his.

"No i'm staying here." Italy had tears streaming down his face but everyone else just wrote it off as nerves and pent up fear. The others were still talking but you focused on you and Italy's hands, squeezing them together.

You heard the first footfall outside the door, the others were to busy chatting to notice. Italy heard it too and turned slightly your way.
"Germany. But Germany it's-a okay.."

You would have laughed at Germany admitting that his training was useless had it not been for what was about to come. Italy was looking fully into your eyes now and only barley heard Germany's words to him.
"What?.. Oh um thanks Germany. But you know i-a think you can definitely get out now. You see this is the first-a time that-" Italy cut himself off.

You gave a sigh, you had been hoping he would finally tell them all. You wanted him to tell them, they could help. Memories flooded your mind of this room. You had seen Italy die here many times, too many times. It couldn't happen again. Italy knew the time for talking was running out.

"Please. Please if you get out just keep-a running. No matter what don't look back, don't forget about me, don't blame me, don't cry, and make time-" The tears were streaming faster now. Your heart clenched as you figured out his plan.

He was planning on giving himself up. Giving the monster its trophy, he had to know that it wouldn't work! The monster wouldn't be happy unless he had all of you. Japan had been looking at the floor for some time but now his head shot up.
"Itary!!!" He must have figured it out too.

The door flew open and the grey beast stood behind you and Italy. You were ready to fight for Italy's life when you felt him yank his hand out of yours and push you across the room. He sent you flying to the left wall. You let out a low grunt of pain as you picked yourself back up.

"Italy!" The others all reacted at the sudden appearance but none moved. The tears had finally stopped flowing out of those ember eyes.
"It-a was scary but...but..It was fun. I'm-a sorry" He had never spoken like this before, did he know something you didn't?

He made this sound like the last time, was this the last time loop possible? What if there could be no more?
"Italy no!" You yelled and tried to run to him.
